We had a wonderful trip back to Idaho to be present for Parker's Baptism. It was a quick trip but one that was filled with great experiences at every step along the way. Sarah was so gracious to pick us up from the Airport and let us stay at their home when we arrived back in Utah and before leaving to return to AZ. We picked up the 4-runner the day after we arrived and navigated through a snow storm in Idaho before we safely arrived at Susan's. I was able to cross country ski a couple of times and Sharon helped Suz sew up some monogrammed pillow cases in the short time we were there. The highlight of our trip of course was Parker's baptism. It was a special occasion for Parker. Both his grandparents along with Kent and Susan, the Bishop and his wife and some close ward members were able to attend. We are proud of Parker for this important step he has taken in his life.
We are sorry we were not able to attend Abby's baptism which occurred this past Sunday. There are more baptisms coming this next year and each is special in our eyes as we acknowledge the role each parent has filled in raising their children in the knowledge of the gospel. As you teach your children in this way you help them enter the gate and follow the path which the Savior has taught will bring us the greatest joy and fulfill that purpose for which we have all come to the earth. This is the greatest of accomplishments in your sacred role as parents.
