The ward held a rodeo for the members with lots of activities for the kids. The High Priest quorum was in charge of the food so, brother Randle brought his grill and Sharon sliced tomatos and I agreed to help flip hamburgers. I decided to ware the cowboy hat and boots and got Sharon to snap this phot in front of the horses. The rodeo was held at the Post's who are in our ward. He is a noted cowboy artist and has about five acres with horses and roping arena.
Last Sunday was the baby blessing for Kate and Kyles new little one, Landon. She had Kyles family and some of our family over to her house after the meeting. It was a special occassion and marks the blessing of our 38th grandchild.
Sophie and Licity spent the evening Friday and had a great time. They liked to use the walking sticks, play school, read, and dress up. They got along great and we had a wonderful time together.
Kate, Kyle and kids came over after conference and unwound in the back yard. Kate thinks ahead getting them in their jammies, ready for the ride home.
There is so much going on with our family that it is hard to keep up with everyone. Leslie and Darin will be going to Hawaii next week on a business trip for Darin. Sharon and I will baby sit for Nick and then head up to Portland to stay with Mike's children while they go to Mexico to celebrate their 15 year anniversary. We are also getting ready for Megan's wedding in June while keeping track of Mitch and Todd on their Mission. We hear that Jake and Amy will be heading to Toole following their fellowship in Indinapolis. Also, we learned this week that Tanner received his call to serve in the Sacramento, California Mission. We are excited to have three grandsons on a mission at one time. Sharon and I just received our call as Church Service Missionaries and will be working with the Church Education Department as BYU Idaho, Intern coordinators. We're excited about this new opportunity.
