September has been an eventful month and now is about to conclude. The highlight of the month has been our trip to Indinapolis to attend Luke's baptism. We also did a get together at Rich's for labor day and some activities with birthdays and getting back together as schools begins. All the families in the Phoenix area are busy, with work, school and the many attending activities. We hear from the families in Utah and Washington and enjoy keeping up with all that is going on as they expand and develop in so many ways.
We flew into South Bend by way of Alligent Air, and were delayed at departure, so arrival was late and we stayed the night. Sharon was unaware that South Bend is the home of Notre Dame, but our motel actually backed up to campus property. I was able to talk her into a drive through before heading down to Indinapolis. We got out of the car just long enough to walk around the football stateum and see a little of the campus. This will probably be my closest exposure to a Notre Dame football game but it was still a neat experience just the same. When I was little I use to sing a form of the ND fight song as I ran for imaginary touchdowns. I also head stories of Knute Rockney so, getting a photo in front of his statue was a nice memory.
After arriving in South Bend we had and opportunity to go into down town Indinapolis and see some of the sites. We ate at an Italian resturant, family style and exjoyed a fun time together with Jake and Amy and family and with Jake's parents.

The baptism was a special experience. Sharon and I remember the call we received eight years ago telling us of how close Luke had come to dieing following his birth due to a heart disformaity. After several operations and patient care on Amy and Jake's part Luke has fully recovered and seems to be enjoying an active and happy life. We were able to go to one of his soccer games and watched his enthusiasm for fishing as well as just being a boy and a happy big brother. Jake and Amy have a year to enjoy their experience in living in Indinapolish while he completes his fellowship. He has accepted a position in Toelle, UT which he will begin in about a year from now. We know they will enjoy their experience and make many friends in their new home.

Sharon has started work but, we've enjoyed our free time together during the summer and our several trips and helping out some with the differenct family. We've been able to see alot of the country, visit family and strengthen ties with our grandchildren. We are truly blessed. There is always a wonderful opportunity ahead. We had Sofie and Macy and Licity spend the night yesterday, and are enjoying the quite today. But, these are happy days!
