This has been another busy week. We finally reconfigured our computers and they seem to be working ok. There are a few problems to be worked out but, hopefully we can get them solved as we move ahead. This was transfer week with new missionaries entering the field. Sharon got involved with the Visas paperwork this time and it looks like things all of our new missionaries got through the process the first time. Getting visas is not an easy process and making sure it goes smoothly has become an important priority for us. This has been a good week for giving out pass along cards. I've met several people in my travels and have been able to briefly share the gospel and hand out a card. We had lunch at a Pizza hut in the center of town. It has become one of our favorite places to eat. We sat next to a lady who was by her self and invited her to join us. She spoke four languages and was anxious to share her knowledge of Romania with us. She was born and raised in Bucharest and loves her country. We hope to continue to meet with her and learn about the area and hopefully share our testimony with her. We went into the city of Polesti today. I had to do a branch audit and the drive was refreshing. We took the office van and were able to see some of the countryside and experience the rural Romanian culture. Some of the living conditions have not change for years. We hope to send pictures of this part of Romania. Unfortunately our camera was out of batteries today.
The walk way photo is taken along the sidewalk we use to get to our office each morning. These trees turned a bright yellow. We keep saying our pictures don't do justice to Romania because they actully show it to be nicer than it is. But, we have also learned to look for the beauty in our surroundings and this little walk way is an example. The Elders like to buy big bright ties sold here in Romania. They are a little pricy and still not quite to my taste but, they make the Elder stand out. The Elder behind the tie is named Jeffery. His family is from Knoxville. Pass this information along to Judy and Lloyd. The houses in the background are seen from out our apartment back window. The late afternoon sun hit them and made and interesting photo.
